Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy equipment and machinery for county landfills, roads, bridges, and drainage systems.
• Performs manual construction, maintenance and repair tasks as needed.
• Transports, loads and unloads equipment and materials.
• Inspects equipment, reports faults, and performs basic maintenance.
• Maintains grounds and facilities; conducts routine duties and paperwork.
• Supervises inmate work details and provides direction as assigned.
