Job summary

Bechtel is seeking a Rigging Superintendent to supervise cranes and rigging operations across multiple locations, including Reston, Houston, and Cheyenne. The role emphasizes safety leadership, compliance with standards, and coordination of crane operations, scheduling, and personnel management.

The candidate will oversee crane operators, COEs, and rigging teams, ensure qualifications and certifications, and drive safe work practices while interfacing with labor relations and project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Construction Management or other relevant technical disciplines from an accredited university and 5–8 years of relevant work experience, or 9–12 years in the absence of a degree.
• Experience in heavy industrial direct hire construction; ability to manage crane and rigging operations and related safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide ES&H leadership and safety meetings in the crane/rigging department.
• Ensure crane and rigging operations comply with Bechtel procedures, OSHA standards, and regulations.
• Plan manpower and equipment for assigned work and monitor progress against schedules.
• Coordinate safety training with Environmental Safety and Health organization.
• Review subcontractor equipment and mobilization/demobilization activities.
• Supervise daily rigging activities and ensure qualified personnel for tasks.
