Job summary

Emery Jensen, a wholesale distributor serving independent lumberyards, paint retailers, hardware stores, and e-commerce retailers, seeks a Retail Sales Specialist to support accounts across Oahu, including Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani, and Aiea. You’ll execute merchandising plans, manage inventory, and assist with store openings and promotions.

The role requires 3+ years in retail-related fields, strong communication skills, and a willingness to travel up to 80% with a valid U.S.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in retail, merchandising, or customer service.
• Bachelor's degree plus 1+ year retail experience considered equivalent.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Able to lift up to 35 pounds and use ladders.
• Able to travel up to 80%, including overnight travel.
• Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license for at least three years.
• Must reside in or near Honolulu, Pearl City, Mililani, or Aiea.

Responsibilities

• Execute merchandising plans, planograms, and retail resets.
• Maintain in-store presentation, pricing, signage, and displays.
• Identify opportunities to improve sales, inventory turns, and category performance.
• Write and recommend product orders to support customer needs.
• Support new product introductions and store conversion initiatives.
• Partner with store teams to resolve inventory, shipping, claims, and product issues.
• Monitor and communicate sales trends, customer feedback, and market insights.
• Verify planogram accuracy and order missing items as needed.
• Assist with new store openings, events, and promotions.
• Travel throughout the assigned territory to support customer locations.
