Job summary

2020 Companies is seeking a Retail Engagement Specialist to visit retailers within your territory and build strong relationships while educating merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.

The role involves daily field work, in-store engagements, and collaboration with leadership to meet territory goals. You will travel within your assigned territory, conduct 22–35 visits per day depending on geography, and ensure a positive customer experience at every location.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Independent, self-motivated work style in a field-based role.
• Organized, reliable, and able to manage a daily route.
• Customer-focused approach with professional demeanor.
• Prior retail, sales, field marketing, or customer-facing experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Visit retail locations within your assigned territory and engage with merchants in a professional, relationship-focused manner.
• Introduce and educate new merchants on the client’s financial services and program benefits.
• Provide on-site support, answer questions, and address concerns to ensure merchant understanding and confidence.
• Place and maintain point-of-sale materials and branding in-store.
• Document visits and track activity using mobile tools and reporting systems.
• Work closely with leadership to ensure territory goals and coverage expectations are met.
