Commercial Roofing Foreman
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Conduct the daily onsite safety brief prior to the start of the WTI project with the Sales Rep, customer, and the WTI Crew. Inspect surroundings, equipment, and tools, identify safety concerns, complete the Daily Hazard Analysis form, and submit to Supervisors as applicable.
- Complete all project communication before starting any WTI project. This includes communication with the Sales Rep regarding the schedule and scope of work, and with the customer at pre-arrival, arrival, and completion of the workday. Maintain communication with the WTI Supervisor regarding schedule changes, project updates, and crew information.
- Manage the project efficiently by overseeing crew start and end times, production rates, and ensuring availability of tools and materials to complete the project safely and per scope or specifications.
- Perform end-of-day and/or end-of-project walkthroughs to ensure quality repairs, address issues, and document the work with before and after pictures sent to the Sales Rep. Record daily updates on work performed, materials used, and supplies purchased.
- Ensure all WTI Field Reps maintain a professional appearance and exhibit proper customer interaction during service delivery.
- Manage inventory by ordering, tracking, and monitoring supplies, and ensure quarterly cycle counts are completed and submitted on time.
- Review each field service project over $5,000 for pricing accuracy, in accordance with pricing procedures.
- Submit projects over $20,000 to the WTI Supervisor before presenting to the Sales Rep or customer.
- Monitor and document the performance of Field Resource Reps, taking corrective actions as needed, in consultation with the WTI Field Resource Supervisor and Human Resources.
- Perform any other duties or projects as assigned by the WTI Supervisor or Regional Manager.
Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum five years’ experience in the commercial roofing industry.
- Thorough knowledge of built-up, EPDM, PVC, and other low-slope roofing systems, as well as metal and steep slope roofing systems, and proper repair techniques.
The salary range for this position generally ranges between $50,801 and $63,501. This estimate depends on qualifications, operations, needs, and other factors permitted by law.
