The University of Georgia is seeking a Temporary Field Assistant - Plant Genetics to support field and greenhouse vegetable curation. This 19-hour-per-week role focuses on harvesting, seed extraction, cleaning and packaging, and related duties.

Located at the Griffin Campus, the position offers hands-on experience in plant genetics and vegetable production, with a flexible schedule within a Monday–Friday window. Prior plant or farm experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Relevant/Preferred Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent.
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies: Prefer experience working with plants or in agriculture.

Responsibilities

• Harvest fruit from various vegetable crops.
• Extract seed from the harvested fruit.
• Treat, clean, count, and package seed.
