Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a Service mechanic to perform shop repairs of High Speed Separators and Decanters, with occasional field work. The role involves disassembly, inspection, diagnostics, and reassembly of equipment, with about 10% travel to customer sites in the western US.

You will read engineering drawings, use precision measuring tools, and coordinate with the service team to ensure reliable performance in customers' processes.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or above.
• Certification as a skilled technician in a highly technical field.
• Experience with vibrations analysis, alignment and balancing equipment.
• Ability to disassemble and rebuild separation equipment, including testing before restarting.
• Ability to work alone, in the field, after training.

Responsibilities

• Disassembly and inspection of machines to determine required repair scope.
• Ability to perform diagnostic tests such as vibration analysis, bearing temperature measurement, wear assessment, etc.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment for dimensional inspection and TIR of rotating equipment.
• Ability to balance rotating assemblies.
• Complete mechanical repairs on separators and decanters from disassembly to reassembly and installation.
• Willingness to travel in the western US for removal, installation and field repairs.
• Coordinate with service manager for projects in the Service Center and in the field.
