Job summary

Highland Electric Fleets is seeking an Electrical Reliability Engineer to own field-side technical integrity of electrical infrastructure powering our vehicle depots. You will inspect depots, support commissioning, verify safety, and troubleshoot upstream infrastructure on-site and by phone with technicians.

This role sits in Operational Engineering and drives reliability across depots. You will train field technicians, cross-train with Charger Reliability Engineering, and partner with

Qualifications

• : 5+ years in electrical, power, or infrastructure engineering with field time, EV charging or depot experience preferred.
• : Demonstrated experience training or supporting field technicians in person and remotely.
• : Working knowledge of OSHA electrical safety requirements, NFPA 70E, and arc flash principles.
• : Strong understanding of medium- and low-voltage distribution and EV charging systems.
• : EE degree preferred; PE not required.

Responsibilities

• : Perform field inspections and commissioning support at depots, verify safety and readiness.
• : Validate energy quality and ensure voltage stability and grounding meet standards.
• : Assess as-built construction quality and maintainability in the field.
• : Conduct single-point-of-failure analysis and prioritize remediation.
• : Develop field feedback and reliability best practices with engineering teams.
• : Provide remote and on-site technical support to field technicians and reliability managers.
