Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager to serve as the access and coverage expert for Alnylam products. You will educate HCPs on reimbursement pathways, collaborate with field sales and leadership, and coordinate with the Hub for patient cases across Great Lakes North Region (ND, SD, MN, IA, WI).

You will monitor payer updates, support prior authorization, and work with cross-functional teams to ensure patient access while complying with policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may include 1.5+ years as a field reimbursement specialist.
• 2 years in specialty pharmaceutical medical benefit sales or 2+ years as a biologic coordinator or office practice manager.
• Experience navigating prior authorization and appeals for pharmacy and medical benefit coverage.
• Cardiology or rare disease experience preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid programs in the territory.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel, including overnight/weekend trips.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payer criteria and access requirements across medical and pharmacy benefit designs.
• Address access barriers promptly to minimize time to treatment.
• Educate HCP offices on reimbursement pathways, coverage requirements, PA, appeals, and payer processes.
• Collaborate with Alnylam colleagues to support consistent patient services education and field execution.
• Educate on enrollment, program offerings, missing information, reimbursement resources, financial assistance, and Hub tools.
• Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaisons for pharmacy benefit products.
• Monitor Medicare/Medicaid/government payer updates affecting patient access within the geography.
