Job summary

Alnylam Pharmaceuticals seeks a Field Reimbursement Manager to serve as the access and coverage subject matter expert for our products. The FRM educates HCPs and office staff on reimbursement pathways, coverage requirements, prior authorization, appeals, and payer processes, coordinating with field sales and hub teams to support patient access.

Great Lakes North region covers ND, SD, MN, IA and WI; travel is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; equivalent experience may include 1.5+ years as a field reimbursement specialist, 2 years in specialty pharmaceutical medical benefit sales or 2+ years as a biologic coordinator or office practice manager.
• Experience navigating prior authorization and appeals processes for pharmacy and medical benefit coverage.
• Knowledge of commercial payers, Medicare plans, and state Medicaid programs within the assigned geography.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight and/or weekend travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze payer criteria and access requirements across medical and pharmacy benefit designs.
• Identify and address access barriers that may affect time to treatment.
• Provide HCP offices with product access education, including reimbursement pathways, coverage requirements, prior authorization, appeals, and payer processes.
• Partner with Alnylam colleagues to support consistent patient services education and coordinated field execution.
• Educate HCPs on enrollment, program offerings, missing information requirements, reimbursement resources, and Hub tools.
• Liaise with Specialty Pharmacy Account Liaisons for products covered under the pharmacy benefit.
• Monitor and communicate payer coverage updates that may impact patient access in the territory.
