Job summary

AbbVie is seeking a field-based Access and Reimbursement specialist to educate healthcare professionals on patient support programs, reimbursement options, and provider resources within a defined territory including Boston, MA and Albany, NY.

The role requires strong account and territory management, a bachelor’s degree, and the ability to navigate national and regional payor policies; candidate must meet HCIR credentialing requirements and hold a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 5+ years in access and reimbursement or account management preferred.
• Experience with payer policies, coverage and billing understood.

Responsibilities

• Educate HCPs on patient support programs and reimbursement tools.
• Educate on product-specific access options such as specialty networks and white-bagging.
• Provide local expertise on payer policies to educate providers on coding and claims.
• Collaborate with Oncology stakeholders for key account management.
• Report payer trends to Patient Services and MHC teams.
• Establish relationships with providers within territory.
• Stay current on managed care, reimbursement and policy activities.
• Maintain HCIR credentialing compliance.
