Field Reimbursement Manager - North Central

Our flagship product, the Heartflow FFRCT Analysis, provides a non-invasive, AI-driven cardiac test supported by the ACC/AHA guidelines, helping clinicians identify coronary artery stenoses, assess blood flow, and characterize atherosclerosis. With over 400,000 patients worldwide and recognition in the healthcare industry, Heartflow is committed to revolutionizing precision heartcare.

The Field Reimbursement Manager will support our customers' billing and reimbursement processes, collaborate with marketing and sales teams, and ensure compliant coding and reimbursement for Heartflow's products. This role is remote with up to 50% travel across the US.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop educational materials on coding, billing, prior authorization, and appeals in collaboration with Marketing.
  • Support the sales and implementation teams by addressing billing concerns and educating customers on appropriate use of codes.
  • Conduct onsite or conference call training on billing scenarios and code application.
  • Work with revenue cycle management teams at customer sites and internally to ensure accurate claims submission.
  • Interpret medical records and policy language to align with billing requirements and resolve reimbursement issues.
  • Identify facilities needing reimbursement education and support.
  • Assist with patient coverage, access, and reimbursement questions, collaborating with patient services.
  • Review claims regularly to ensure proper reimbursement.
  • Maintain knowledge of Heartflow policies, industry trends, and ensure compliance.
  • Provide reimbursement information to practice staff to support patient access.
  • Share insights with the team on customer needs and payer issues.
Skills Needed:
  • Deep knowledge of US healthcare coding and billing, including Medicare and commercial payers.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, with advanced spreadsheet skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills.
  • Understanding of hospital billing, coding infrastructure, and medical records.
  • Ability to interpret policies and medical necessity language for coding and claims.
Educational & Work Experience:
  • Over 5 years of experience in hospital coding and billing, managing governmental and commercial claims.
  • Medical service coding and reimbursement expertise.
  • Associates Degree required; CPC or COC preferred; cardiology experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

This position is remote, based in specific states, with no relocation sponsorship available. Salary range is approximately $84,500 to $110,000 annually, plus bonuses and stock options.
