Job summary

Cencora, Inc. is seeking a Field Reimbursement Specialist to support access to specialty medications across a multi-state territory. The role involves educating providers and staff on reimbursement and coverage considerations, navigating payer policies, and resolving access barriers.

The position requires weekly travel with potential overnight stays within California and neighboring states. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of pharmacy benefit reimbursement, prior authorizations, appeals,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Bachelor's degree or relevant practice management experience preferred.
• Previous experience as Field Reimbursement Manager/Specialist preferred.
• Previous experience working in healthcare directly resolving pharmacy benefit access issues.
• Experience with extensive travel.
• Willingness to obtain a PACS certification within six months.

Responsibilities

• Educate provider office staff on insurance issues and payer policy changes within assigned territories.
• Educate on payers’ coverage management strategies including coding, billing, formulary, prior authorization, and appeals.
• Identify root causes of access or reimbursement issues and provide solutions.
• Deliver interactive educational presentations at provider sites of service.
• Provide information on reimbursement topics related to client’s products as approved.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
