Job summary

HARBISONWALKER INTERNATIONAL is seeking a Special Workforce Application Technician II to join our Value Added Services Team. The role focuses on supporting refractory installation field trials and providing technical refractory guidance to customers, while educating peers on proper installation techniques and equipment operation.

Responsibilities include on-site education, data collection, reporting, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to safely operate brick saw and bricklaying equipment.
• Two to four years of refractory installation knowledge.
• Able to travel to customer sites.

Responsibilities

• Educate customers on proper installation methods and equipment operation.
• Perform in-service inspections at customer sites to collect data.
• Complete internal and external reports on activity and performance.
• Collect operational data to assess refractory product quality.
• Observe trials from installation through postmortem to ensure quality.
• Promote safety and 5S standards; maintain a safe work environment.
