Job summary

Teufel Landscape is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Field Recruiter (Bilingual English/Spanish) to support hiring efforts across our commercial landscape construction and maintenance operations in Oregon and Idaho. This is not a traditional office-based recruiting position, and the role involves field travel, events, and community engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle recruiting for landscape construction, maintenance, nursery, and operational positions throughout Oregon and Idaho.
• Recruit for a variety of field-based positions, including laborers, technicians, crew leaders, foremen, mechanics, equipment operators, and other operational roles.
• Partner closely with division managers, project managers, superintendents, and operational leaders to understand workforce needs and hiring priorities.
• Conduct phone screens, interviews, hiring events, and candidate follow-up activities.
• Travel regularly to branch locations, jobsites, career fairs, colleges, trade schools, workforce centers, and community events.
• Develop and maintain candidate pipelines through networking, community outreach, employee referrals, workforce partnerships, and direct sourcing efforts.
• Support college recruiting initiatives and help build relationships with educational institutions, workforce development programs, and trade organizations.
• Build and maintain relationships with Hispanic community organizations and other local workforce partners to expand candidate outreach efforts.
• Represent Teufel Landscape as an employer of choice throughout Oregon and Idaho.
• Maintain accurate recruiting records, candidate communications, and recruiting activity within the applicant tracking system.
• Assist with onboarding coordination and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.

Teufel Landscape is seeking a motivated, relationship-focused Field Recruiter (Bilingual English/Spanish) to support hiring efforts across our commercial landscape construction and maintenance operations in Oregon and Idaho.

This is not a traditional office-based recruiting position.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being out in the field, connecting with candidates, attending hiring events, visiting branch locations and jobsites, and building relationships within the communities we serve. This role plays a key part in supporting workforce growth across multiple locations, including our expanding operations in Idaho.

The successful candidate will work closely with hiring managers, operational leaders, the Recruiting Manager, and HR team to attract and hire top talent. This position requires strong organization, accountability, and the ability to independently manage recruiting activities and priorities on a day-to-day basis.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Previous experience in recruiting, staffing, workforce development, community outreach, business development, sales, or a related field.
• Experience recruiting for construction, landscaping, skilled trades, manufacturing, agriculture, transportation, logistics, or other field-based workforces strongly preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to build trust and credibility with candidates, hiring managers, and community partners.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while maintaining close communication with recruiting leadership.
• Comfortable working in both office and field environments.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
• Ability and willingness to travel up to 40% t hroughout Oregon and Idaho, including overnight travel as business needs require.

Work Environment

This position includes a combination of office work, local and regional travel, jobsites visits, hiring events, career fairs, and community outreach activities. Candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and travelling throughout Oregon and Idaho to support recruiting initiatives and business needs.
