Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Readiness Coordinator to support Distribution Line Operations by pre inspecting jobs for readiness and safety in Butler, PA. You will plan and schedule activities, manage the work queue, coordinate with planners, and communicate job readiness to customers, engineers, and field crews, ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.

Strong communication and multitasking abilities are essential.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology or related discipline; 1–2 years of related work experience, or 3+ years if no degree.
Knowledge of NESC and NEC applicable to field construction and maintenance.
Knowledge of the Customer Guide for Electric Service (CGES).
Ability to interpret requests, drawings and procedures to develop accurate work plans.
Proficient in SAP, GIS, CREWS, CAD/AutoCAD and reporting tools; strong PC software skills.

Responsibilities

Support Distribution Line Operations by pre inspecting jobs for readiness and safety.
Plan and schedule activities, manage the work queue, staffing, equipment, and permits.
Communicate job readiness to customers, property owners, engineers, and field crews.
Coordinate with planners to establish start/completion dates and track progress.
Assist during emergencies and storm-related activities as needed.
