Job summary

Crux Subsurface, a Crux Subsurface, a subsidiary of Quanta Services, seeks a Field Quality Representative Intern based in Spokane Valley, WA. You will support quality assurance on foundation construction projects, interfacing with engineers, constructors, and management to ensure conformance with plans and contracts.

The role offers remote work support across projects, requiring travel domestically. You will assist in documenting quality plans, reviewing data, and performing field inspections

Qualifications

• In-progress undergraduate degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geologic science, or construction management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret project documents to understand quality inspection and reporting requirements.
• Review and interpret geologic and geotechnical data before fieldwork.
• Plan and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Construction personnel.
• Perform technical tasks (measurements, calculations).
• Develop and maintain pre-construction documentation and quality plans.
• Receive, inspect, and track materials; perform inspections of work quality and materials.
• Maintain quality and material management records and daily field reports.
• Sample and log geotechnical materials; transport grout and concrete specimens.
• Operate geophysical testing equipment and review results for adequacy.
