Job summary

Crux Subsurface, a Crux Subsurface subsidiary of Quanta Services, Inc., is seeking a Field Quality Representative Intern based in Spokane Valley, WA. You will interface with a multi-disciplinary team to validate quality, ensure conformance with plans, drawings, contracts, and code requirements.

You will support administrative tasks, review project documents, and perform inspections across shallow and deep foundation work, with travel for project support.

Qualifications

• In-progress undergraduate degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, geologic science, construction management.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
• Able to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent critical thinking and planning skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and interpret project documents to understand quality inspection and reporting requirements.
• Review and interpret geologic and geotechnical data in advance of fieldwork.
• Plan and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Construction personnel.
• Perform technical tasks (measurements, calculations, etc.).
• Develop and maintain quality management plans, schedules, and submittals.
• Receive, inspect, and track materials.
• Perform inspections of work quality and materials.
• Develop and maintain quality records.
• Collect and audit quality records.
• Sample, characterize, and log geotechnical materials.
• Prepare daily construction field reports.
• Sample, prepare, and transport grout and concrete specimens.
• Install and troubleshoot geophysical testing equipment; interpret results.
