Job summary

Stellantis is seeking a Control Tower Engineer for its North America Quality organization at the Headquarters & Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI. You will lead warranty issue triage by analyzing parts and vehicles, collaborating with engineering, supplier quality, manufacturing, and service teams to resolve customer warranty concerns.

The role emphasizes initial problem-solving, proposing triage strategies, and governing warranty issues through their lifecycle within the VEHE Control Tower

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Design Release, or related field with a focus on chassis components.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • Able to work in a team-oriented environment and manage a unionized workforce.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

  • Lead identification of warranty-related issues through part analysis and vehicle reviews; accountable for initial problem-solving and validation.
  • Propose triage recommendations based on data and physical insights for downstream resolution.
  • Support governance of warranty issues through their lifecycle.

Job description

The North America Quality organization is currently seekingaControl TowerEngineer to join the Control Tower & Field Quality team at the Headquarters & Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.

The Control Tower Engineer is responsible foridentifying,creatingand triaging warranty issues,working closely with engineering, supplier quality,manufacturingand service teams to analyze parts and vehiclesin order toresolve warranty issues for our customers. Opportunities are available in theVehicle Engineering (VEHE) Control Tower team, whichis responsible forbody, chassis,interiorand mechatronics warranty issues.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Lead the identification of warranty related issues -–through part analysis and vehiclereviews;the Control Tower Engineer is accountable forinitialproblem-solving, proposed responsible functional area andclean pointvalidation.
  • Propose triage recommendations based combined data and physical insightsfor resolution by downstream teams.
  • Support governance of the warranty issue through its lifecycle
Vehicle Engineering (VEHE) Control Tower team has opportunities in the following areas:
  • Chassis

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited University
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering, Design Release,or related field, with a focus on Chassis components
  • Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
  • Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce
  • Proficiencyin MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master'sin engineering or Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • ShaininRedXBlack Belt
  • Green Belt / Kepner Tregoe
  • Design for Six Sigma
  • Project Management
  • Working knowledge ofTeamCenter
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings
  • Programming experience
  • 2 years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
