Job summary

The Middlesex Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Technician to perform field testing, inspections, and reporting to ensure materials and workmanship meet project specifications. Working under the Quality Control Manager, you will collect samples (asphalt, concrete, aggregates, soils), document results, maintain records, and support tests across sites.

Requirements include an associate degree or technical training in Civil Engineering or Construction Technology, 3–5 years in heavy civil QC,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of quality control testing experience in heavy civil construction.
• Experience with ASTM and AASHTO standards and project specs.
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and test procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform field testing and inspections of materials per project specs.
• Document test results and maintain quality records.
• Calibrate and care for QC testing equipment.
• Coordinate testing with project personnel and third-party labs.
• Assist QC Manager with reports and quality documentation.
