Job summary

Fort Myer Construction Corporation is seeking a Quality Control (QC) Field Technician to perform daily sampling and testing of materials in the lab and field, ensuring finished goods meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will work with asphalt, follow QC plans, and document test results.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, relevant certifications, 1–3 years of lab experience, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• MARTCP Asphalt Field Technician Certification or VDOT Field Level II Certification required.
• DOT Radiation HAZMAT Certification required.
• 1-3 years of lab experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Follow quality control plans or guidelines as assigned.
• Procure asphalt samples for DOT compliance.
• Complete daily paperwork and test logs.
• Conduct field production and testing of asphalt.
• Perform daily QC testing and analysis of asphalt samples.
• Operate, maintain, and care for testing equipment.
• May work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends.
