Job Summary

To inspect, accept or reject work performed in a particular discipline in compliance with applicable Codes and specifications. Discipline can be civil, structural, electrical, mechanical or piping.

Essential Functions

1. Actively support the Company’s commitment to safety and its “Core Values.”
2. Represent the Company with high moral standards, adhering to the “Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.”
3. Follow all safety procedures and regulations at the job-site.
4. Review project specifications and code requirements before inspections.
5. Understand the design building code of construction.
6. Know acceptance criteria for inspections.
7. Perform inspections and witness tests as required.
8. Prepare reports and quality records according to procedures.
9. Coordinate QC work with other departments such as start-up, engineering, and process.
10. Perform receipt inspections of materials with material control staff.
11. Verify systems on completed work to ensure correct installation per design specifications.
12. Manage measuring and test equipment to ensure accuracy.
13. Perform additional tasks as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications

1. Minimum 2 years of experience.
2. AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required.
3. API 653 certification preferred.
4. Familiar with ASME VIII, Sec. IX, B31.1, B31.3, API 650/653, 1104 Codes.
5. Strong understanding of industry practices, processes, and standards.
6. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
