Job summary

Granite Construction in Mission, Texas is seeking an experienced QC Engineer (Heavy Civil Construction) to support field operations. As a Field Engineer, you will work with superintendents, surveyors, and subcontractors to develop submittals, work plans, and schedules for heavy concrete formwork, earthwork, and steel erection.

Responsibilities include quality control inspections, managing QC technicians, reviewing submittals for contract compliance, documenting daily tests and activity reports,

Qualifications

• Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Scheduling and take-off software experience is required.
• Strong grasp of drawings, specifications and measurement techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality control inspection and manage subcontracted QC technicians.
• Review work plans and submittals for contract compliance.
• Maintain and submit daily quality tests, inspections and activity reports.
• Lead the three-phase Quality Control System with preparatory meetings and follow-ups.
• Assist with job controls to ensure compliance with contract, budget and schedule.
