Job summary

EMC Mechanical Services is seeking a motivated Field QA/QC Technician to support the quality of commercial mechanical and plumbing installations in Richmond, VA. You will conduct routine inspections, verify compliance with drawings and codes, and help ensure quality standards across projects.

The role requires attention to detail, ability to work on active construction sites, and good communication with project teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Ability to work on active commercial construction sites.
• One to three years of commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, or construction experience is preferred.
• Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Microsoft Office is preferred.
• Fluent English verbal and written skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine field inspections of mechanical and plumbing installations.
• Verify installations comply with project drawings, specifications, contract documents, and applicable building codes.
• Ensure work follows EMC quality standards and best practices.
• Assist with developing and maintaining project-specific quality checklists.
• Identify potential quality concerns before they become project issues.
