Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Pump Tech to support water pump installation tasks and perform routine mechanical work in outdoor settings. This entry-level role involves travel overnight on occasion and working with a safety-focused team.

You will assist with installation, troubleshooting, and repair of pumps, operate service trucks and related equipment, and help maintain records to keep projects on schedule and compliant with quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CDL A or B a plus or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of water pumps.
• Drive equipment to job sites; CDL A or B preferred.
• Lift and move pipe and pump components weighing up to 50 lbs.; assist with components up to 100 lbs.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, cranes, generators, engines, pumps and other equipment.
• Collaborate with the crew and work independently to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain accurate records of time, materials, and paperwork.
• Load and unload trucks with equipment and materials to facilitate logistics.
• Transport equipment between sites and set up for jobs.
• Collect and label water samples for analysis.
• Adhere to safety and quality procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
