Job summary

Granite Construction Incorporated is seeking a Pump Tech at an entry level to assist with water pump installation tasks and perform routine mechanical work on water pumping sites. Overnight travel and outdoor work are required for this position.

You will lift up to 50 lbs., operate service trucks and pumps, and collaborate with the crew to meet project goals. A high school diploma or GED is required; construction site experience is preferred; CDL is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Construction site experience preferred.
• Must be able to travel and be away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time.
• CDL license - Class A or B is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to safety and quality procedures to maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
• Lift and move pipe and pump components up to 50 lbs and assist with up to 100 lbs.
• Operate and maintain service trucks, cranes, and pumps on water pumping sites.
• Collaborate with the crew and work independently to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain records of time, materials, and required paperwork.
• Assist in installation, troubleshooting, and repair of water pumps.
