Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Mechanic - Pump (Service Tech II) in the Fluid division. You will perform maintenance tasks and minor repairs on pumps, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and provide exceptional customer service on every job.

There is potential to advance to higher level Tech roles within the Service Department. You will document service work, train junior technicians, demonstrate equipment to customers, and travel to sites.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining pumps of various sizes, capacities and manufacturers.
• Knowledge of construction equipment and strong mechanical background with engines.
• Basic understanding of schematics and diagrams.
• Own the tools applicable to position and have strong customer service, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform service documentation.
• Train lower level Technicians.
• Demonstrate equipment for customers.
• Travel to customer sites.
• Other duties assigned as needed.
