Job summary
Indiana Michigan Power seeks an entry-level P&C Field Technologist Associate to perform testing, calibration, and maintenance of protection and control devices across substations and field sites. You will support installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting of relays, PLCs, and SCADA systems, with on-site and occasional outdoor work in varied weather.
The role requires an ABET-accredited degree (EE or EET preferred) and a willingness to travel and respond to emergencies as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program in engineering or engineering technology.
- Preferred degrees in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electrical Engineering Technology (EET).
- Entry-level position for new graduates.
Responsibilities
- Test and calibrate protection & control devices and equipment per schedule.
- Assist with switching at various voltage levels under Dispatching Authority guidance.
- Maintain test equipment and correct records, drawings, and test results.
- Install, maintain, and operate relays, PLCs, station SCADA, and communications gear.
