Job summary

MSA Professional Services seeks a Project Manager – Field to lead construction-phase services for roadway and infrastructure projects. You’ll be the on-site project lead, coordinating field crews, schedules, budgets, and client communications in the Southeast Wisconsin region.

As a key Transportation team member, you’ll advance quality, safety, and design intent while mentoring field staff and supporting future opportunities with solid relationships and responsive project delivery.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Civil, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering Technology (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
• 6+ years of experience in roadway construction management, surveying, or related infrastructure services.
• WisDOT project experience is a strong plus.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and field crews simultaneously.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills; valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction-phase services for roadway and infrastructure projects of varying size and complexity.
• Act as the on-site project lead, overseeing construction progress, schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
• Serve as the main liaison between clients, contractors, and MSA during active construction, ensuring effective communication.
• Provide constructability feedback to design teams to improve efficiency and quality.
• Conduct field observations, staking, and inspections to verify compliance with plans and specs.
• Supervise and mentor field staff, ensuring safety, quality, and technical accuracy.
