Job Summary

The Field Project Manager contributes to maximizing the success and performance of their assigned area(s). They are responsible for all project scope changes, project schedule, project costs, and the project life cycle. The role oversees and manages the project life cycle and schedule from start to finish, tracks and directs all field activities for subcontractors and third-party vendors, obtains permits and equipment required to complete projects, performs quality control inspections, and ensures all punch list items are completed timely. They also assist with purchasing and delivering materials to job sites and support vendor management in recruiting and managing vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Manage clients and vendors in the assigned area.
  • Identify deficiencies and implement improvements.
  • Meet weekly with the area manager to discuss market status and needs.
  • Monitor market performance and goals weekly.
  • Assist in implementing action plans for new clients.
  • Provide activity updates and reports.
  • Identify and select new vendors, negotiate pricing.
  • Attend regular market meetings.
  • Identify local pricing adjustments and communicate updates.
  • Provide weekly/monthly vendor condition reports.
  • Perform handyman/maintenance duties as needed.
  • Improve product specifications and upsell to clients.
  • Resolve field-related disputes professionally.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in construction management or related field, or 3+ years experience in home rehab and multi-unit facilities.
  • Residential Construction Management experience and Restoration experience preferred.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Experience with estimating, project scheduling, and rehab project lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of construction practices, labor costs, and materials.
  • Understanding of building codes and safety standards.
  • Knowledge of flooring, appliances, landscaping, roofing, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, etc.
  • Experience with insurance claims, Xactimate, Symbility, Eagleview desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suites.
  • Ability to manage multiple properties.
  • Work weekends as needed.
  • Work independently and multitask.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Walking, climbing stairs/ladders, manual tasks, lifting heavy items.
  • Use of telephone and email.
  • Oral communication with clients and team.
  • Hearing and vision within normal ranges.
  • Manual dexterity for office equipment.
  • Organizational and analytical skills.

Work Environment

Construction sites, outdoors, various weather conditions, some home office work, travel between sites. Flexible work from home options available.
