Job summary

Kent Companies seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support day-to-day field operations on concrete construction projects across the United States. The role coordinates planning, material logistics, technical reviews, and safety compliance while collaborating with clients, Superintendents, Project Managers, and subcontractors.

Frequent travel to multiple states is required. Responsibilities include preconstruction planning, schedule updates, RFIs, QC oversight, and documentation.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of concrete construction or related experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of concrete processes, field operations, and quality control.
• Ability to read and interpret project drawings and specifications.
• Familiar with ACI standards, safety requirements, and best practices.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software (Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Support project planning and scheduling in field operations.
• Review drawings, specs, and submittals for accuracy.
• Assist with RFIs and ensure code compliance.
• Provide technical guidance to field teams on placement, curing, and sequencing.
• Perform pre-pour and post-pour inspections with documentation.
• Manage QC checklists and monitor testing results (slump, air, temp).
• Maintain daily reports, pour logs, and productivity tracking.
• Assist with COs, billing, and pay apps; coordinate with clients and testers.
• Support safety initiatives and participate in site safety meetings.
