Job summary

Foodmate is seeking a Project Manager to lead technical projects from initiation to closeout, coordinating budgets, schedules, invoicing, and client communications. The role requires hands-on oversight of capital equipment installations, travel to sites up to 75%, and remote independent work.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in technical project management, strong communication, and a passion for customer satisfaction. PMP certification is a plus and experience in food processing is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years of technical project management experience.
• Experience with capital equipment installations and commissioning.
• Proven track record in customer satisfaction.
• Ability to share references/recommendations.
• Experience in the food processing industry is a plus.
• PMI PMP certification is a plus.
• Demonstration of outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Must be able to work very independently and remotely.
• Passion for customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Project Plans & Schedules - review and update when necessary.
• Time entry and approval for projects.
• Expense entry and approval for projects.
• Budgets – support of project financials and advise on areas of non-compliance or exceptions; track change orders and credits.
• Budgets – communicate project status (actuals, budgets, forecast) to client; man-days vs budget.
• Process project invoices and checks with Accounts Payable for outside contractors.
• Cost review to ensure correct resource, travel, and material costs.
• Compliance monitoring – support processes across teams.
• Change control – data collection and setup forms.
• Project execution support – ensure status reports and close-out checklist; lessons learned.
• Maintain project organization charts and distribution lists.
• Data entry into Smartsheet.
• Staffing allocations for each project with service department; confirm service appointments.
• Up to 75% travel to project sites.
• Site management for customer satisfaction including shipping, inventory, and daily service reports.
• Develop clear project plans to motivate teams and achieve goals.
• Be the expert for customer assistance and service.
