Job summary

DASNY in New York seeks a Field Representative to assist the Project Manager in construction projects, ensuring contract compliance, budget and schedule evaluation, and recovery planning. You will monitor construction, coordinate trades, read plans, ensure quality, attend meetings, and prepare reports.

Weekly travel to sites is required, and supervision of teams may be involved. Bachelor’s degree with several years of construction management experience is preferred, with strong communication and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years' experience as a Junior Field Representative or Assistant Project Manager; or
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years relevant experience; or
• Associate's degree plus four years' experience as a DASNY Assistant Project Manager or Junior Field Representative; or
• Associate’s degree plus five years relevant experience; or
• High school diploma or equivalent plus eight years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and observe construction, installation, and testing of building systems and technology daily.
• Coordinate the work of all trades and ensure quality per construction documents.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, and bids; recommend approaches to issues.
• Lead and participate in meetings; prepare notes and follow-up.
• Prepare status reports and evaluate project budgets and schedules.
• Schedule testing, commissioning, and monitor results.
• Represent DASNY with client agencies and other project entities.
• Maintain records and utilize project management/reporting systems.
