Job summary

DASNY (Dormitory Authority - State of New York) seeks a Field Representative to support project managers on construction programs, ensuring compliance with contract provisions and budgets.

The role includes coordinating trades, interpreting plans, supervising QA inspections, and preparing meetings and status reports. Weekly travel and site supervision are expected, with emphasis on quality and schedule recovery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years' experience as a Junior Field Representative or Assistant Project Manager; or
• Bachelor’s degree plus three years relevant experience; or
• Associate's degree plus four years' experience; or
• Associate’s degree plus five years relevant experience; or
• High school diploma or equivalent plus eight years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor construction, ensuring compliance with documents and permits.
• Coordinate trades and review plans, specs, and addenda.
• Ensure quality in line with construction documents and QA procedures.
• Review bid materials, assess bidder qualifications, and assist with awards.
• Schedule and supervise testing, commissioning, and monitor results.
• Prepare meeting notes and coordinate follow-up actions.
• Maintain project records and assist with change order proposals.
