Job summary

H. T. PROF Group is seeking a Project Engineer to support underground wet utilities projects in the Greater Los Angeles area.

This role involves field involvement, coordinating with clients and subcontractors, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery for projects up to $10 million. Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of field experience with underground utilities, strong knowledge of water systems, and solid communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–4 years of field experience with underground wet utilities.
• Preference for experience with domestic water systems.
• Strong knowledge of waterworks materials and systems.
• Proficient in scheduling, cost tracking, and project documentation.
• Ability to manage RFIs, change orders, and permitting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager with planning, scheduling, and daily activities.
• Coordinate field operations like pipeline installation and trench work.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, and permits; track time and materials.
• Oversee subcontractors, material orders, and progress reporting.
• Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain safety standards and company procedures.
• Prepare project documentation using professional language.
• Support client relationships and project profitability.
