Htprof is seeking a Senior Estimator – Underground Utilities in the San Fernando Valley/Los Angeles County area. The role leads estimating and bid preparation for major heavy civil infrastructure projects, focusing on underground wet utilities such as water, sewer, and storm drain systems.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of heavy civil estimating experience and at least 5 years in underground utility estimating, with proficiency in reading plans, geotechnical reports, and related software.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in heavy civil estimating or preconstruction.
• 5+ years in underground utility estimating (water, sewer, storm)
• Experience bidding major heavy civil infrastructure projects.
• Bachelor's degree in CM or CE preferred.
• Ability to read plans, specs, geotechnical reports.
• Strong knowledge of wet utilities and trenching costs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for underground utility and heavy civil projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for water, sewer, storm drain.
• Develop crew compositions, production rates, and costs.
• Lead bid packages and organize documentation.
• Mentor estimating/takeoff engineers.
• Manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
