R-2 Contractors seeks a Field Project Engineer to support field leadership on active underground power infrastructure projects. You will coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and inspectors to keep field activities moving and documentation accurate.

The role emphasizes learning in a fast-changing jobsite environment, demanding organizational skills, safety-mindedness, and willingness to travel to various project sites in Michigan and beyond.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• Experience with field coordination and documentation in heavy civil projects preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, able to interface with field and office teams.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day field operations under project management leadership.
• Review drawings, specs, and project documents to support field execution.
• Assist with RFIs, submittals, change documents, meetings, and daily reports.
