Job summary

Responsibilities

• Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance.
• Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance.
• Collaborates with operations to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Collaborate with estimating department to learn bidding procedures.
• Prepare updates of construction activities and determine personnel and equipment requirements.
• Assist with submittals, invoicing, and project correspondence.
• Assist with material buyout, shop drawing review, and submittal review.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of schedule changes; coordinate with Foremen & Subcontractors.
• Assist with subcontracts and subcontractor management.
• Document work in Procore and perform construction observation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Description:
The Project Engineer will direct, coordinate, and supervise the completion of industrial projects within area of specialized responsibility.

Responsibilities/Duties:

Engineering

• Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
• Collaborate with CADD Department.
• Assist Project Manager in establishing project objectives, procedures, data collection methods, and performance standards.
• Create and administer testing protocols for monitoring project performance.
• Manage compliance with standards and specifications for quality control and assurance.
• Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Construction

• Collaborate with the estimating department to learn company bidding procedures.
• Prepare scheduled or necessary updates of construction activities and determine personnel and equipment requirements.
• Assist with project management tasks such as submittals, invoicing, correspondence, management, etc.
• Assist with material buyout, shop drawing review, submittal review, etc.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of any construction schedule changes and work closely with all parties ensuring requirements are met.
• Assist with subcontracts and subcontractor management.
• Collaborate with Foreman & Subcontractors.
• Document work in Procore.
• Construction observation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or other related discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is required.
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Projects, etc.
• Computer skills with experience in using Microsoft Office and AutoCAD Civil 3D
• Must be able to work long, flexible hours including weekends.
• Ability to meet physical demands of the job: lift 50 pounds, standing for long periods of time.
• Willingness to travel to different locations and work in a variety of weather conditions.
