Job Description Summary:

The Field Project Engineer will perform field engineering management, inspections, construction and commissioning management, FAT at vendor workshops, develop ITPs, conduct contractor walkthroughs, review bids, and oversee contractor selection. The role includes leading site construction and commissioning teams to ensure project completion per objectives, priorities, contracts, and specifications. Success is measured by safety, cost, schedule, and quality.

• Serve as the on-site contact for construction and commissioning management.
• Oversee safety compliance including site orientation, work permits, safety analyses, toolbox meetings, audits, and HSES events.
• Verify receipt and inspection of materials and equipment, manage non-conformities, and material custody transfer.
• Manage project documents from development to handover, ensuring quality and compliance.
• Manage external/internal suppliers to meet project goals and scope coverage.
• Expedite suppliers to meet delivery goals.
• Maintain communication logs with external partners.
• Develop and manage construction and commissioning schedules, reporting delays.
• Manage construction and pre-commissioning activities, respond to RFIs promptly.
• Follow and update the project execution plan.
• Maintain field communication according to the communication plan.
• Support contract administration and resolve contractual disputes.
• Track and approve changes, maintain change logs.
• Close action items promptly, review progress regularly.
• Maintain knowledge of the project to fill in for the Project Manager if needed.
• Contribute to development of construction and commissioning strategies.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma
• 5 years of field construction or related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• BS in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university (preferred)
• Experience managing projects (a plus)
• Industrial gas experience (a plus)
