Job summary

FCC Construcción seeks a seasoned Field/Project Engineer to help drive civil construction projects in the United States. You will support the Project Manager with change orders, cost estimates, and claims, and prepare status reports for client review.

The role requires 8+ years’ field experience, familiarity with field survey software, and the ability to read drawings and review RFIs/submittals. Office productivity and safety are priorities.

Qualifications

• BS in civil engineering.
• At least 8 years’ experience as a field engineer and/or project engineer with progression up through more complex projects.
• Experience with field survey software and equipment.
• Experience reading and understanding construction drawings. Writing and reviewing RFIs and reviewing construction Submittals.
• Computer literacy required including professional proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Support the PM and Sr. PM in quantifying, preparing and executing change orders, quotations, and claims.
• Assist in preparing project status reports and participating in project status meetings; assist in the development of meeting minutes.
• Ensure subcontractors are executing the work according to the scope, plans and specifications.
• Verify invoices are based on work performed and ensure supporting documents are submitted.
• Verify the work progress of the subcontractors.
• Assist and monitor the performance of Construction Inspection.
