Job summary

Bechtel Corporation in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Leader for the field Project Controls organization. You will oversee cost control, forecasting, planning and scheduling, progress measurement, change management, and reporting to ensure effective project execution.

You will collaborate with Construction, Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, and client representatives to drive informed decisions and align objectives with project performance.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's or master's degree and 13–19 years of relevant experience
• Proven leadership and team-building skills in multi-disciplinary Project Controls environments
• Extensive knowledge of cost engineering, planning/scheduling, forecasting, risk management and integrated controls
• Strong communication and stakeholder alignment abilities
• Experience leading Project Controls in field and home office contexts

Responsibilities

• Leads and manages all field Project Controls activities: cost control, forecasting, planning/scheduling, progress measurement, risk management, change management, reporting
• Directs development, maintenance, analysis and reporting of budgets, forecasts, schedules, risks and KPIs
• Provides leadership of the project controls organization including staffing, training and mentoring
• Ensures integration of cost, schedule, risk, change management and forecasting processes
• Partners with project leadership to identify issues and drive corrective actions
• Leads project performance reviews and analyzes trends, variances and forecast outcomes
• Oversees reporting tools and metrics to support management decisions
• Supports changes, trends and claims assessment and incorporation into forecasts
• Reviews and approves project cost reports, schedules and status reports
• Interfaces with customers, subcontractors and external stakeholders on performance matters
• Mentors Project Risk Coordinators and Specialists in risk management
• Identifies risks and opportunities and develops mitigation strategies
• Promotes continuous improvement of Project Controls procedures and systems
