Job summary

Criterion Executive Search is seeking a production underwriter for a Nashville-area role with a focus on growing premium and policy counts in mid-market commercial lines. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience and may already be in the field or open to transitioning from inside to field underwriting.

You will develop new business pipelines, meet with agents, and determine premiums for new opportunities, while collaborating with marketing and claims

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial multi-line underwriting experience.
• Primary functions focus on growing premium and policy count.
• Preference for someone already in the field or willing to transition from inside to outside.

Responsibilities

• Develop and cultivate a new business pipeline of profitable risks for agencies and producers.
• Be the primary decision-maker for setting premiums on new opportunities.
• Meet with agents to discuss needs and present mid-market commercial lines products.
• Evaluate risks and recommend risk improvements.
• Collaborate with marketing and claims staff and agent contacts.
