Field Preventative Maintenance Technician

Job Overview

The Field Preventative Maintenance Technician performs field service inspections and general preventative maintenance based on customer service agreements.

Available Shift Options

• Monday - Thursday, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 3 PM to 2 AM
• Tuesday - Friday, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 3 PM to 2 AM
• Weekend, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Friday - Monday)

Responsibilities

• Perform oil, filter, and lubrication services, checking and filling fluid levels to OEM specifications, and refueling as requested
• Follow documented CSA processes and guidelines
• Maintain lube records for all work performed
• Read and interpret Scheduled Oil Sample (SOS) reports and analysis
• Provide service reports, oil samples, and inspection paperwork to customers
• Inspect equipment for signs of potential failure and safety device issues
• Prepare accurate and complete service reports promptly
• Maintain service readiness of field lube truck, including supplies
• Understand proper startup and shutdown procedures of CAT equipment
• Work flexible hours when needed to meet customer needs
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• One year experience servicing heavy equipment or equivalent education/experience
• Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
• Ability to perform machine inspections and operate a service vehicle
• Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
• Personal discipline and professionalism
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays
• Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record

Working Conditions

• Work both indoors (non-climate controlled) and outdoors in various weather conditions
• Use of personal protective equipment required
• Physical activities including standing, stooping, lifting, and tool use
