Job Overview
The Field Preventative Maintenance Technician performs field service inspections and general preventative maintenance based on customer service agreements.
Available Shift Options
- Monday - Thursday, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 3 PM to 2 AM
- Tuesday - Friday, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 3 PM to 2 AM
- Weekend, 4 days, 10 hours each, from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM (Friday - Monday)

Responsibilities
- Perform oil, filter, and lubrication services, checking and filling fluid levels to OEM specifications, and refueling as requested
- Follow documented CSA processes and guidelines
- Maintain lube records for all work performed
- Read and interpret Scheduled Oil Sample (SOS) reports and analysis
- Provide service reports, oil samples, and inspection paperwork to customers
- Inspect equipment for signs of potential failure and safety device issues
- Prepare accurate and complete service reports promptly
- Maintain service readiness of field lube truck, including supplies
- Understand proper startup and shutdown procedures of CAT equipment
- Work flexible hours when needed to meet customer needs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year experience servicing heavy equipment or equivalent education/experience
- Basic knowledge of heavy equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to perform machine inspections and operate a service vehicle
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills
- Personal discipline and professionalism
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, including weekends and holidays
- Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
Working Conditions
- Work both indoors (non-climate controlled) and outdoors in various weather conditions
- Use of personal protective equipment required
- Physical activities including standing, stooping, lifting, and tool use
