Job summary

Aggreko is seeking a Power Technician 2 in Bridgeport, NJ to perform preventive maintenance and repairs on power generators, diesel engines, and related equipment. You will travel daily in a company vehicle and may work overtime or weekends as needed.

The role requires 3–7 years of experience with generators, a valid driver's license, and the ability to read schematics. A TWIC/DOT card may be required depending on assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 3-7 years of experience working on power generator equipment, performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs.
• Experience with calculating nominal and effective tonnage and/or kW requirements, along with reading schematics.
• Based on customer requirements, you may be required to obtain and maintain a TWIC card or valid DOT medical card.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to move or lift objects, typically less than 75 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs of power generators, diesel engines, electrical distribution equipment, and/or oil free air compressors.
• Troubleshoot equipment failures at the shop and at customer locations and handle the repairs.
• Be out on your own or teamed up with other technician(s) to set up and operate equipment at the shop and on customer sites.
