Job summary

Advanced Power Technologies Inc. in Cincinnati is seeking Electrical Testing and Power Systems Technicians to support customers in the Cincinnati, Ohio region. You will assist in testing, startup, maintenance and repair of power systems components.

This role requires willingness to travel up to 2 days per week, flexible hours including weekends/holidays, and the ability to read electrical schematics. A hands-on mindset and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, understand and interpret electrical schematics.
• Hands-on start-up, testing, maintenance and repairs of power systems components (208-480V switchboards, 5-15 kV switchgear, generators, motors, transformers, capacitors, protective relays).
• Experience with protective relay test sets, Hi-Pot, Megger and other test equipment.
• Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA, and industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in start-up, testing, maintenance and repairs of power systems components.
• Respond to customer emergencies and provide timely communication.
• Travel to customer sites and support multiple facilities as needed.
