Job summary

Western States Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Service Technician for Power Systems in Washington.

The role involves performing contracted routine services on generator packages, industrial engines, and related components, under supervision, with travel to customer sites as needed. You will assist senior technicians, perform basic troubleshooting and inspections, document work, and uphold safety and customer-care standards on every job.

Qualifications

• Proof of high school diploma or GED.
• Associate degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years experience with troubleshooting and maintenance methods for Power Systems products.
• Must own required tools.
• Must meet DOT requirements.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, performs routine maintenance on generator packages, industrial engine packages, and electric power generation system components.
• Assists senior technicians with load bank testing including cabling and cable termination.
• Performs basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Assists EPG Field technicians as required.
• Performs detailed inspections on electric power generation and industrial engine products.
• Prepares service reports, work orders, parts lists and time cards accurately.
• Maintains professional image and adheres to safety and customer requirements.
