Job summary

Empire is seeking a field-service technician to troubleshoot, repair, recondition and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, and related electrical systems in field and remote locations. You will communicate clearly with clients and management about conditions, problems and recommendations.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, English proficiency, and at least 6 months of related experience; DOT licensing or medical card may be required depending on location.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• English language communication skills required.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience preferred.
• DOT licensing, medical card and endorsements as vehicle size dictates may be required.
• Must be able to operate diagnostic equipment and interpret readings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions in the field.
• Repair, recondition and maintain generators, switchgear, ATS, and electrical systems.
• Prepare service reports and discuss recommendations with clients.
• Travel to remote locations and work overtime as needed.
• Ensure safety policies and company procedures are followed.
