Job summary

CrewPath Talent is seeking an Electrical Engineer – Power Innovation (Commissioning) to support the safe, reliable commissioning of power generation and energy systems. This field-based role participates in pre-commissioning, commissioning, and turnover, ensuring systems are properly tested and ready for operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• 4+ years in electrical engineering, power systems, or commissioning.
• Knowledge of power systems equipment and drawings.
• Experience with commissioning, testing, and startup processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical commissioning activities for power systems.
• Test, verify, and troubleshoot switchgear, transformers, generators.
• Validate short-circuit, coordination, arc flash studies against as-built.
• Perform insulation resistance, hi-pot, relay tests, and functional verification.
• Ensure NEC/NFPA 70E compliance in field projects.
• Document commissioning records, turnover packages, punch lists.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with project teams.
