Job summary

Taurus Industrial Group is seeking a Power & Reliability Technician to support the Pasadena, TX area. The role focuses on maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing power generation and distribution equipment to maximize reliability and minimize downtime.

You will work with engineering and operations to implement preventive maintenance and respond quickly to faults. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in electrical power systems, strong knowledge of transformers, switchgear, and control

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience working with electrical power systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical power generation and distribution equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to restore power system functionality promptly.
Collaborate with engineering teams to implement and improve preventive maintenance schedules and reliability programs.
Monitor system performance data and conduct tests to identify potential reliability risks or equipment degradation.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, industry standards, and regulatory requirements during all maintenance and repair activities.
Document maintenance activities, equipment status, and incident reports accurately for operational records and audits.
Respond to emergency power outages or equipment failures, providing timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime.
