Job summary

Alex Lee is seeking an on-site IT support specialist to ensure successful operation and implementation of retail store hardware and software, especially POS. The role requires travel around Augusta–Aiken and surrounding area to provide store support.

You will install hardware/software, train store teams, document systems, and coordinate with infrastructure for network issues, with on-call duties after hours and collaboration with third-party break-fix providers.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics or business or equivalent knowledge and skill from work experience.
2+ years of technology related experience and 2+ years of grocery retail support.
Working knowledge of retail automation applications and POS systems.

Responsibilities

Install hardware and software and provide troubleshooting.
Provide training to store teams on new procedures.
Ensure smooth openings of new Alex Lee stores regarding POS and front office operation.
Continually improves front-end systems quality and performance.
Document systems for effective use and maintenance.
Proactive, positive approach to problem-solving.
Coordinate remodels, de-installs and special projects.
Assist infrastructure team as field networking support.
On-call duties for off-hours application/hardware support as scheduled by supervisor.
Collaborate with third-party break fix providers to restore systems.
